Experian forms fraud solutions division

COSTA MESA, California -- Customer relationship software firm Experian said in July that it had formed a business unit offering fraud prevention and detection tools for financial services organisations.

The tools are also designed to assist clients with online identity authentication and compliance with government regulations for identity verification.

The British-owned company, which has headquarters in both the UK and California, said that application fraud costs the US economy $35 billion
