Leading e-commerce insurers claim that too few online companies have the right protection against operational risk losses.

For most companies, the first phase of the e-business development cycle -- getting their systems tested and online -- has been completed. Now businesses have to consider how to protect against the potential hazards of commerce on the internet -- threats ranging from hackers to fraud to viruses.

Robert Goldhawk of Hiscox Syndicates Ltd, a member firm of Lloyd’s of London, says
