
Bank of England releases annual report

LONDON - The Bank of England has published its Annual Report 2009, setting out the UK central bank's strategic agenda and priorities for the year ahead, including discharging its enhanced role for financial stability.
The bank says it aims to enhance the sterling monetary framework to help it provide liquidity to the system both in normal and stressed market conditions.
The report also stresses strengthening co-operation and information sharing between central banks globally to promote financial stability in global markets.
It also aims to deliver efficient and effective note issuance and banking services, while improving public understanding of the bank's role through improving its communication strategy.
