Lehman boosts European equity derivatives unit

Lehman Brothers has hired three former JP Morgan equity derivatives specialists to beef up its European business.

Axel Kilian has been appointed head of equity derivatives sales, while Jürgen Bossler will drive Lehman’s equity derivatives sales in Germany and Austria. Meanwhile, Martin Bertsch has been hired as head of product development in equity derivatives.

Kilian spent nine years at JP Morgan, most recently as co-head of investor marketing in equity derivatives, while Bossler has worked alongside him in sales since 2000. Bertsch was at JP Morgan for seven years, his most recent position being head of financial engineering.

“The combined knowledge and experience of the team are a formidable addition to our equities franchise,” said David Bizet, co-head of European equity sales.
