HKEx launches Xinhua futures

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEx) has signed an agreement with index provider FTSE Xinhua Index (FXI) to list futures and options linked to the FXI China 25. Trading in the instruments is expected to begin on May 23.

HKEx targets derivatives growth

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) has named Patrick Conroy as chief operating officer as from August 18. Conroy will replace Frederick Grede, who has not sought a renewal of his employment contract, which expires at the end of July.
