Insurers come of age in sharing operational risk data

Phil Healy of ORIC International writes that the loss data consortium received more reports from its members in the insurance sector in the first half of 2014 than in any other comparable period since 2005

The second edition of the Operational Risk Landscape report by ORIC International, which facilitates confidential exchange of loss data, provides an overview of the risk events submitted by its insurance industry members during the first half of 2014.

ORIC received 491 loss events with a combined value of £219 million ($326 million) between January and June 2014. This is the largest H1 submission
