Altis braves the hedge fund market

Altis Partners is launching its first hedge fund, the Global Futures Portfolio 'GFP'. Altis offers a diversified quantitative investment programme which is managed by proprietary technology. Altis was formed by Zbigniew Hermaszewski, Stephen Hedgecock, Alex Brunwin and Natasha Reeve-Watts. Together, they have over 50 years experience in the financial industry.

The GFP is designed to give investors participation in all sectors of the world economy, encompassing both financial and commodity markets. The programme is entirely automated and incorporates Altis' unique Advanced Asset Allocator which was specifically designed to manage portfolios of derivative instruments. Zbigniew Hermaszewski, the system designer, states: "The portfolio-based trading approach is fundamentally different from typical managed futures programmes, as the Allocator implements investment changes after considering its effect on the whole portfolio not just the individual markets concerned."

The GFP is available either as a Bahamas mutual fund structure, which is available immediately and accepts a minimum investment of $100,000, or by way of an individually managed account.
