Adoboli lied to UBS investigators and police, court hears
Accused rogue trader says his first explanations of trades were false
In court yesterday, accused UBS rogue trader Kweku Adoboli claimed that his initial explanations of his activities – given both to UBS investigators and to City of London police – were largely false. Adoboli faces six charges of fraud by abuse of position and false accounting, which he denies.
Under cross-examination by Sasha Wass, for the prosecution, Adoboli said his initial statements to UBS on
