CFTC's Chilton: accept Volcker rule or get out of the way

Chilton warns banks to either co-operate with regulators on the Volcker rule or get out of its way, as it is definitely happening

Banks need to accept the Volcker rule and work with it or get out of the way and let it happen, according to Commissioner Bart Chilton of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Banks that have tried to push back against the rule, which bans proprietary trading for US banks, will simply find that any concessions they may have wanted to see in the Volcker rule will not be there, Chilton warns
