Trading on ETF Securities’ (ETFS) ETF Exchange (ETFX) picked up in January following the year-end holiday lull, with weekly turnover approaching $100 million by the third week of the month. In the second week of February, the ETFX Dax global Coal Mining Fund rallied 6%, outperforming broad equity indexes. Its physical silver holdings hit a record high, reaching 25.3 million ounces.
