Franklin Templeton adds bond researcher

Franklin Templeton Investments has named Sonal Desai as director of research for the firm’s international bond unit. Desai will be based in San Mateo, California and report to Michael Hasenstab, senior vice-president.

Desai was most recently with the global credit group at Thames River Capital in London. Previously she was a director and senior economist with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in London, where she managed macroeconomic coverage of EMEA countries.
