ABN launches Islamic agriculture certificate
ABN Amro has launched the Islamic Agriculture basket Yield Discovery Certificate, which is designed to provide exposure to a basket of sharia-compliant agricultural stocks selected from the Dow Jones Islamic Market World Index.
The two-year 100% capital protected certificate is linked to a basket comprising 13 stocks from agricultural sectors including agro-chemistry, farming machines, crops and trading/cultivation. The issuer shall use proceeds from the issuance of the certificates to purchase the sharia-compliant securities which will be held in an equity portfolio which is held in a trust.
