US District Court judge dismisses SOX/PCAOBlawsuit
A US District Court judge, Judge James Robertson, has dismissed a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality and legality of Sarbanes-Oxley's creation of a separate body – the PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) – to oversee the accounting industry. This judgement has severely weakened those seeking repeal or reform of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
