Solent takes CMA for valuations

Hedge fund and CDO manager Solent Capital has taken CMA DataVision for its month-end valuations of credit default swaps, indices and tranches.

The firm had been using QuoteVision, CMA’s price discovery service, for four years. Geoff Smailes, partner and joint founder of Solent in London, says the move to add the intraday price verification tool was a natural step.

“QuoteVision has helped us to manage our live tradable prices efficiently and effectively. CMA's services are innovative and reliable; it was an easy choice to select DataVision for our month-end valuations, especially as it integrates so well with QuoteVision, which is a key part of our market data backbone.”
