Regulators advise on Avian flu
WASHINGTON, DC – US financial regulators have issued inter-agency advisory to financial institutions and their technology providers about the impact of threat of a pandemic influenza outbreak and its potential impact on the delivery of critical financial services.
The advisory recommends financial institutions and their service providers to consider the threat of the Avian flu outbreak in their event response and contingency strategies.
On November 1, 2005, the White House released a national strategy, which identified the roles the Federal government and the private sector could play in case of a pandemic flu outbreak. The agencies' advisory urges
