Z/Yen, Sun and the LSE plot trade executions

LONDON – Consulting firm Z/Yen, technology company Sun Microsystems and the London Stock Exchange (LSE) are working together on a project that uses sophisticated computer technology to map trade executions for compliance purposes, with a view to ultimately reducing investigation costs for anomalous trades.

According to Z/Yen, current best execution processes usually contrast the prices obtained with external benchmarks such as VWAP (volume weighted average price) or tools such as the LSE's execution quality service in order to identify anomalous trades.
