Final Mifid text now under review in the European Parliament The European Parliament is now reviewing the draft Level II text for the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid). The draft, which is expected to remain largely unchanged, will then be rubber-stamped by the European Parliament.

CRD published in the Official Journal
The Capital Requirements Directive (CRD) has officially replaced the Capital Adequacy Directive and the Banking Consolidation Directive. The CRD has been entered into the Official Journal of the European Parliament under the new directive number 2006/49/EC; the Banking Consolidation Directive has been recast under 2006/48/EC.
