AMF publishes Mifid consultation paper

AMFpublishes consultation document setting out a draft amended Book III of its General Regulation in relation to Investment Service Providers.

The French Financial Market Authority (AMF) has published a consultation document that sets out a draft amended Book III of its General Regulation in relation to Investment Service Providers (ISPs). It complements the higher-level draft Ordinance from the "direction générale du trésor" amending the French Monetary and Financial Code and the previous document of interpretation from the AMF relating to "best execution". This consultation document maintains a unified regime for all investment management companies, and substantially copies out the technical provisions of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid) relating to organisational requirements and rules of good conduct.
