Hong Kong securities watchdog issues warning over mis-selling

Hong Kong securities industry watchdog the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), last month issued a report highlighting the problem of mis-selling of financial products by investment advisers (IAs) and detailing their failure to comply with existing guidelines.

The report, which was the result of an inspection in 2004 of 15 IAs licensed by the SFC, said the SFC has been monitoring the issues
