Thai regulators plan Basle IIimpact study
CHIANG MAI, THAILAND -- Thai banking regulators plan to conduct a full analysis in 2002 of the likely impact of applying the Basle II capital adequacy accord to Thailand's banks.
Bank of Thailand deputy governor Tanya Sirivedhin said in December that Thai supervisors realise that "both planned and unforeseen challenges" will mark the country's path to eventual compliance with the accord.
