Marex plots interest rate clearing push
UK broker is live on LCH and plans to be a “day one” clearing member on FMX
Commodities specialist Marex Capital Markets is looking to make a splash as a clearing broker for interest rate products.
The London-based firm became the first non-bank member of LCH’s SwapClear service in June and cleared its first interest rate swap trade earlier this month.
Thomas Texier, head of Marex Clearing, says a “handful of clients” have already signed up to use the swaps clearing service
