RJ O’Brien plots expansion into US Treasury clearing

Chairman and CEO says futures house plans to capitalise on SEC’s new mandate for interdealer trades

In the 1970s, Chicago-based futures brokerage RJ O’Brien & Associates would send the owner’s son Bob O’Brien on trips to visit clients in places like Paris and Washington DC.
