LCH Japan plan signals new fight for global clearing model

In recent years, attention has focused on the European Union’s efforts to force onshore euro-denominated derivatives clearing. But LCH, which is the main target of the EU’s ire, looks set to wade into a fresh dispute about clearing location policies in a different jurisdiction – Japan.
