CME Chilean peso clearing service awaits first trade

CME Group has yet to clear a US dollar/Chilean peso non-deliverable forwards (NDFs) contract, almost four months after launching the service through its CME ClearPort platform.

The Chicago-based exchange and clearing group has stressed its ambition to be a multi-asset-class clearer in the over-the-counter markets - including in foreign exchange, where it intends to clear spot, forwards, swaps and options. It took its first step in May, with the launch of USD/CLP NDFs - at the time noting access
