Chinese regulator rotates senior managers

The CSRC said Zhu Yu Zhen, general manager of the Dalian Commodities Exchange (DCE), will become general manager of the China Financial Futures Exchange, a new exchange expected to start soon in Shanghai that will trade stock, bond, and interest rate futures, as well as currency derivatives.

Jiang Yang will move from his post as general manager of the Shanghai Futures Exchange to become the CSRC’s head of futures regulation and an assistant to Shang Fulin, chairman of the CSRC. Jiang Yang swaps places with Yang Wan Jun, the former head of futures regulation at the CSRC, who takes up the general manager role at the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

CSRC officials said the moves were part of a regular rotation of senior management that aims to help them develop into managers with a well-rounded understanding of the business, learn advanced management skills and improve the overall level of service and development of the futures market in China.
