The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Taiwan Futures Exchange to share information on market and product development and potentially work toward developing markets for new derivative products.

In a release, Foo-shiung Ho, president of the Taiwan exchange, said, “By entering into a working arrangement with the CBOT, we are poised to greatly increase future business opportunities. Since being established in 1998, we have actively pursued involvement in international alliances that would benefit our goal to internationalize and develop our products and markets.”
