Market snapshot: Investec leads UK product issuance in May

FTSE regains ground as appetite for multiple underlyings falls

Sixty-six products were launched in the UK in May, originating from 11 providers. Investec Structured Products was once again the most prolific issuer, releasing 21 new deals that made up 32% of the market. Barclays was the second biggest provider for the month, doubling the number of its releases from April to take a 12% market share. Societe Generale and Startpoint Investment launched six products apiece, which represents a 9% share of the market for each.
