Industry first for EFG Bank

EFG Private Bank has launched what is thought to be the first principal protected note investing across an index of single strategy hedge funds, rather than in a specifically chosen basket of hedge funds.

The notes from the Swiss-based bank are invested across funds in Van Hedge International's Diversified Market Neutral Investable Hedge Fund Index.

The investable index fund has 22 constituent hedge funds. The capital guaranteed note was issued by BNP Paribas.
