Brains trust

"There is a brain drain going on. And the trouble with the brain drain is figuring out who out of those brains who left traditional investment institutions really has the street smarts and the ability to run a diversified portfolio. That is the core issue for us," says Donald Gross, chief operating officer of New York-based fund of funds Dunbar Capital Management, which has aggregate assets of $13m under management. Dunbar's underlying managers have about $2.7bn under management.
