The European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma) and the European Banking Authority (EBA) published the results of their joint work on Euribor and principles for benchmark rate-setting processes on January 11.

In response to concerns regarding perceived weaknesses in benchmark rate-setting, and arguing that "financial market reference rates and their calculation procedures have come under close public scrutiny in recent years", they propose a general framework that includes include
