
Asia overtakes Europe as home to most millionaires, survey finds

Wealth owned by millionaires in Asia surpassed pre-crisis levels last year, rising 12.1% to $10.8 billion, according to the annual global wealth report by Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) and Capgemini.
The number of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) in the Asia-Pacific region also rose dramatically, overtaking Europe and making the region the second-largest in terms of both HNWI population and aggregate wealth, behind North America.
