One criticism of structured products compared to funds, equity investment or exchange-traded funds is that there is no common benchmark against which performance can be compared. As each structure is different and return profiles are manifold, the FVC indexes cannot act as a definitive benchmark, but they can give an indication of the performance of certain structured product types.
The year-on-year change in all the Europe indexes is positive, but the accelerated growth index performed best
