Blue chip corporates in the emerging world offer the prospect of strong returns as funds begin to look beyond emerging market sovereigns for opportunities, according to Laurent Crosnier, chief investment officer at Amundi in London.

Crosnier argues that illiquidity in emerging market corporate credit has kept many investors at bay thus far, but he expects that trend to reverse.
