People: BarCap's El-Asmar takes over Asian distribution

Barclays Capital's Philippe El-Asmar is moving to Hong Kong to take charge of the bank's distribution operations in the region, according to a source close to the bank.
El-Asmar is currently based in New York and is managing director, head of global investor solutions, and will take up his new role as head of Asia-Pacific distribution at the start of January. Kevin Burke, who currently holds that title, will move to London as head of investor solutions. This means that the team will be managed
