Investec to issue collateralized notes
Investec is to become the third issuer of collateralised notes as it indicates a January launch.
Investec is set to launch collateralized structured notes in January 2011. It follows on Morgan Stanley's release of gilt-backed notes earlier this November and gives credence to the counterparty risk discussions over the last year.
"We are launching the notes for two reasons," says Gary Dale, head of intermediary sales at Investec Structured Products in London. "One is from a diversification point of view, in that it ties in perfectly with what the financial services authority (FSA) are guiding
