UK market laps up autocalls ahead of expected CGT rise

The volumes of retail structured products issued in the UK market have been low over the past few weeks because of volatile markets, although bankers predict autocall products and funds will increase in popularity. Investors should remain aware of an expected increase in capital gains tax (CGT) as it will require advisers to tax plan more carefully and could lead to a reduction in the structured product market.
