Nasdaq OMX has released 2009 performance statistics relating to its benchmark and sector indexes. The results show that the indexes outperformed other benchmark US indexes such as the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500. The Nasdaq 100 and Nasdaq Composite Benchmark Indexes showed performances of 53.54% and 43.89%, respectively. Results for key indexes show that the Nasdaq OMX Global Coal Index gained 135.36% and the Nasdaq OMX Russia 15(1) gained 121.09%. Steel, agriculture and oil
