Macquarie to roll out fund-linked derivatives in Europe and US

Macquarie Funds Group (MFG) is planning to step up its fund-linked derivatives activity. The bank has run a fund-linked derivatives operation in Asia and Australia for a decade, and will now expand the business across continental Europe and the US.

“MFG came out of the financial crisis without suffering any losses in the fund-linked derivatives business and decided the exit of major participants has created an opportunity” says Peter Lucas, the group’s Sydney-based head of investment solutions
