UK investors more confident in FTSE, says Barclays Stockbrokers

Investors in the UK have revealed increased confidence in the FTSE for the year ahead, according to Barclays Stockbrokers. The firm conducted a poll of its clients that revealed nearly half (44%) have a bullish outlook for 2010, believing that the FTSE rally will continue. This compares with just 34% in November 2009.

Only 22% are more cautious in their outlook, saying they do not expect the market to recover fully in 2010. Two months ago, 27% of the investors polled had a bearish outlook. The
