Polish trading increases on commodity products

The volume of trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) doubled last year, as more structured products were listed on the exchange. By the end of 2009, there were 69 structured products listed on the WSE, compared with 46 at the end of the previous year, and this has increased from just two products in December 2006.

The value of trading more than doubled from PLN156 million (US$55.8 million) in 2008 to PLN314 million and the number of issuers rose to seven. They are: UniCredit, Raiffeisen
