Adding bulls and bears

Handelsbanken has had a good year, helped by its incorporation of bull and bear strategies and move into covered warrants. Richard Jory talks to Peter Frösell about providing trading products to complement the capital-protected and certificate investor structures the bank has always offered to retail.

Handelsbanken has put a great deal of effort into making its products more available and easier to understand and now, in addition to capital-protected products, it also offers various types of certificates that give investors a wider choice of investments. “This year we started the bull and bear trading products, which offer double upside and double downside,” says Frösell, vice-president and head of business development for structured products at Handelsbanken in Stockholm.
