Barclays Wealth launches protected kick-out investment
The first observation date is on the product's third anniversary, when the it will automatically mature with a return of 18% if the FTSE 100 is at or above its level when the product opened.
If the FTSE is not at this level, then the product continues to its next observation date six months later. Coupons will accrue at a rate of 6% a year, and observation dates will take place every six months until maturity if the kick out condition is not satisfied before then.
