IFAs loathe to recommend alternatives, says survey


More than 60% of the UK's independent financial advisers (IFAs) are not recommending structured products linked to hedge funds, according to a survey sponsored by HSBC. The survey, which had 315 respondents, was released at the end of August and conducted by Trustnet Adviser, the London-based fund research and analysis company.

The findings contrast with a similar survey conducted by Structured Products published in the July/August issue. This survey showed that 62.8% of 441 respondents said
