New ETNs offer exposure to professor’s method

Deutsche Bank has listed three new exchanged-traded notes (ETNs) on the Arca platform of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The Elements notes will be linked to the performance of the Benjamin Graham Intelligent Value Indexes.

Companies with a strong and liquid balance sheet are eligible for inclusion in the indexes, a concept known as value investing. It was pioneered by Benjamin Graham, a Columbia University professor and NYSE floor trader who espoused investment principles based around a quantitative approach to modern portfolio theory, and counted billionaire Warren Buffett among his students.

The three ETNs are linked to the Benjamin Graham Large Cap Value, Small Cap Value, and Total Market Value indexes, which
