Ardour launches global alternative energy index
Ardour Global Alternative Energy Indexes, a US-based alternative energy index specialist, has launched a global alternative energy index. The Ardour Global Index consists of 74 global alternative energy stocks, and its related sub-indexes cover North America and Europe. Dow Jones Indexes is the calculation agent for the indexes.
According to Joseph LaCorte, managing member at Ardour in New York, the indexes can be used as underlyings for structured products. The index specialist is currently in negotiations with a number of exchanges and investment management firms in the US and Europe to offer and list investment and risk management products on the indexes.
