Scotia Capital retail head takes seat at Gold World Resources

Scotia Capital’s head of retail structured products, Brian McChesney, has taken a seat on the board of Gold World Resources, a Canadian resource company focusing on China.

“In addition to underwriting structured products, Brian has the unique role of acting as chief executive officer and director of 23 listed structured product companies that are administered by Scotia Capital,” Gold World Resources said in a press release.

The move comes as Scotia is rumoured to be building up its equity derivatives busiess. In November Ali Salahuddin joined the bank from Merrill Lynch as global head of equity derivatives trading.
