Barcap offers Arabian exposure for offshore bonds
Barclays Capital has launched both the Five-Year Guaranteed Arabia Titans 50 and FTSE 100 Deposits designed exclusively for use within offshore bonds and UK wrap accounts.
The Arabia Titans deposit, which is a five-year 100% principal protected deposit available in both US dollars and sterling, is linked to the Dow Jones Arabia Titans 50 Index. The product issued in sterling offers a return of 145% of any positive averaged index performance up to a maximum of 58%, while the US dollar product offers 110% of any positive averaged index performance up to a maximum of 44%.
