Barclays releases Super Tracker plan as dual option

Barclays Wealth will release the Super Tracker plan, on January 1 2008, in the form of a dual option, which will allow investors to potentially double their investment from a 10% rise in the DJ Euro Stoxx 50 index. The growth product is a five-year investment linking returns to the performance of the Index and is designed to provide a return equal to 5% for every 1% rise in the FTSE 100 Index, with a maximum return of 75%. The index only has to rise by 15% in order to reap maximum return at maturity on 14 March 2013.

The plan offers either a six-year option linked to the DJ Euro Stoxx 50 index or a five-year linked to the FTSE 100, both with a strike date of March 14 2008. The six-year option sets an industry record multiple with 10 times the first 10% rise in the DJ Euro Stoxx 50, while the five-year option allows five times the first 15% rise in the FTSE 100.

“We expect demand for this issue to surpass anything we have seen before as favourable pricing conditions have enabled us to offer a record multiple
