Rabobank taps structured products growth in US and Asia

Rabobank of the Netherlands is launching a New York equity and fund derivatives group and has hired Joseph D’Anna from SG Corporate & Investment Banking and Igor Tydniouk from Nomura Securities.

According to a spokeswoman at Rabobank in New York, the equity and fund derivatives group is to primarily focus on developing structured products for institutional investors.

Meanwhile, Rabobank has also relocated its structuring team from Singapore to Hong Kong to focus on private placements. Donal Galvin, head of global financial markets, Asia region, says that the relocation will help Rabobank to tap the significant growth opportunities for the structuring business in the region, particularly
