Pioneer appoints Madar for France and Benelux distribution

Pioneer Investments has named Fabian Madar as general manager of its Paris-based French operation, with responsibilities for distribution into Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco. Madar, who will report to Sandro Pierri, region head of South Europe and Latin America, joins from ING Investment Management, where he was managing director, France.

The appointment follows that of Roger Price-Haworth, who joined Pioneer as head of Institutional & Wholesale Business UK, a newly created role based in the London office, in February.

Pioneer has €213.5 billion of assets under management as at December 31 2007, which includes mutual funds and structured products provided to institutions, corporates, intermediaries and private investors.
